On 16th April, Nairobi Securities Exchange Plc (NSE) and AGF marked a significant milestone with the official launch of a transformative Capacity Development (CD) Program. Implemented through the NSE Ibuka Program and the AFAWA initiative, this strategic partnership is anchored on a shared mission: bridging the financing gap for women-led SMEs (WSMEs) while positioning them for sustainable, long-term success.

The Ibuka Program aims to support up to 1,000 SMEs over a five-year period, with a key objective in Phase I being to enable at least 50 WSMEs to successfully raise capital through the NSE.

Taking a holistic ecosystem approach, the program integrates:

  • Capacity building
  • Advisory services
  • Market linkages

This ensures that participating enterprises are not only supported but are also fully prepared to become investor-ready. Beyond program delivery, this collaboration is firmly rooted in driving impact.

This partnership further cements AGF’s role as key enablers of sustainable business growth, contributing to long-term economic development both now and in the future.
