African Guarantee Fund (AGF) CAN Region hosted a delegation from CDEC (Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations du Cameroun) for a two-day engagement focused on strengthening collaboration to support SME financing in Cameroon.
The first day featured a technical meeting where both institutions discussed potential partnership areas, including collaboration under AGF’s Bank Fundraising Guarantee product to mobilize resources for financing SMEs through partner financial institutions (PFIs) in Cameroon. The discussions also explored ways to align strategic objectives and expand access to sustainable financing solutions.
The second day marked a key milestone with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) by Mr. Constant Nzi, CEO of AGF, and Mr. Richard Evina Obam, CEO of CDEC, formalizing the partnership framework between the two institutions. The collaboration aims to unlock more financing opportunities for SMEs, support local financial institutions, and contribute to private sector growth in Cameroon, in line with CDEC’s aims of promoting job creation, particularly for women and youth.
This engagement reflects AGF’s commitment to building strategic partnerships that strengthen financial ecosystems, support CDEC’s development objectives, and drive greater support for African SMEs.
